Freelancing

Six years

My work showcases products and people, drives subscriptions, increases conversion rates, and supports organic visibility. I’ve written for household names, influential start-ups, and public institutions.

Full-time

Four years

Over a few full-time roles at start-ups and in the UK government, I wrote and edited lots of words. I touched email sequences, website pages, branded content, social campaigns, print products, user guides, hardware packaging, app UX, and help documentation.

I learned to be a power user of software like MailChimp, Typeform, WordPress, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Cloud. I also handled marketing automation tools, got to grips with content management systems, and managed projects with tools like Asana.

Education

Five years

I studied for my four-year M.A. (Hons) in English Literature at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. Then, I was awarded a full scholarship for an M.A. in Cultural Studies at Western University, Canada. At Western, I also taught undergrads.

My degrees gave me a deep and detailed understanding of language and literature. As a result, I can adapt the style, voice and tone of my writing with a perfect grasp of grammar, pace and syntax.
